Exact fees will be determined at time of billing, this table is published only as a guide to assist you in estimating cost.  No civil pleadings will be filed or service perfected without an advance deposit.  To receive certified copies of judgments, all outstanding court costs must be paid.  Total court costs must be paid before a suit is dismissed.

Civil Recording Fees Amendment Date August 14, 2006 - effective April 2008

Conformed copies are $3.00 if you furnish the copy to be conformed.  Certified copies are $5.00 if you furnish the copy to be certified.  If you do not furnish the copies, you will be charged $1.00 per page plus $3.00 to conform and/or $5.00 to certify.

For service through the Secretary of State a $25.00 check made payable to the Louisiana Secretary of State and a $27.92 check made payable to the Sheriff of East Baton Rouge are required.  

For service through C.T. Corporation a $27.92 check made payable to the Sheriff of East Baton Rouge is required.   

For each service in East Baton Rouge Parish a check made payable to the Sheriff of East Baton Rouge is required.  The amount depends upon the destination address of the service.  Please see the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Civil Division Fee Table to determine the specific cost.

For each service in Pointe Coupee Parish and Caddo Parish a check made payable to the Sheriff of Pointe Coupee or Caddo Parish is required.  The amount depends upon the destination address of the service.  Please see the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Civil Division Fee Table OR the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Civil Division Fee Table to determine the specific cost.

For each service in Tangipahoa Parish, Jefferson Parish and West Baton Rouge Parish a $20.00 check  made payable to the appropriate Sheriff is required.

For each service in Ouachita Parish a $30.00 check made payable to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff is required.

All requests for subpoenas must be in writing and must be accompanied by the appropriate advance costs.  You may call the Civil Department for further information on these costs. 985-748-4146.
