Clerk of Court, Gary Stanga

Mr. Gary Stanga was sworn in as Clerk of Court on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
In addition to the duties of the Clerk he will continue to complete the Chief Deputies responsibilities with the help of Interim Chief Deputy Clerk of Court, Alicia Fussell.

The Chief Deputy oversees the daily business operations of the Clerk of Court's office. The duties of the Chief Deputy include the overall supervision of administration, personnel and purchasing. The Chief Deputy oversees the workflow of all departments within the Clerk's Office, while assisting the Clerk in setting policies and procedures. The Chief Deputy assists the Departmental Supervisors in finding solutions to unique situations and inquiries that may occur during daily operations. The Chief Deputy works with the Clerk and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure fiscal stability.  

Gary Stanga is the Chief Deputy for the Tangipahoa Parish Clerk of Court. He had thirty-one years of experience in the private sector before joining the Clerk's Office. Gary has twenty years of management experience with extensive formal training in management and labor relations. Gary also served for twenty years in an elected position in local government. This unique cross training in the private sector and in government adds a new perspective to the business operations of the Clerk's Office.

Mr. Stanga was appointed Chief Deputy on July 1, 2004.
