8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day
***Persons interested in qualifying for the below listed offices shall
qualify at the Clerk of Court’s office in Amite, LA>***
Candidate Office Titles:
- School Board Members
- Hammond: Mayor, Council Members
- Kentwood: Mayor, Chief of Police, Council Members
- Tickfaw: Mayor, Chief of Police, Council Members
- Independence: Alderman
Qualifying fees:
***If candidate is not a member of a recognized party
(Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, Green, and Reform)
he/she only pays the amount in the qualifying fee column.***

The qualifying fee shall be paid in cash or by certified or cashier’s check
on a state or national bank or credit union, United States Postal Money
order, or money order issued by a state or national bank or credit union.
Valid identification is required when qualifying.
